地理院地図の立体地図（3D）を眺めてみる

【概要】

地理院地図は、国土地理院が公開しているオンラインの地図サービスである。その 3D 機能を使うと、指定した範囲の地図を標高モデルにより Web ブラウザ上で 3 次元表示でき、3D プリンタ用のデータもダウンロードできる。

  3. 地図をスクロール・拡大・縮小して、表示させたい場所を決める。左上の「地図」をクリックすると、「地図の種類」（標準地図、空中写真など）を選べる。
  4. 右上の「ツール」をクリックし、「3D」をクリックする。3D 表示する範囲を「大」「小」「カスタム」のいずれかから選ぶ（「大」は画面中心を中心とする 2048×2048 px の範囲、「小」は 1024×1024 px の範囲、「カスタム」は表示範囲枠を移動・拡大縮小して指定する範囲）。

  5. 新しいウィンドウで 3 次元表示される。

  6. マウスで視点を操作できる。マウス左ボタンのドラッグで回転、右ボタンのドラッグで上下左右の移動、ホイールで拡大・縮小である。画面下のスライドバーで高さ方向の強調度を変更できる。

立体地図データのダウンロード

  1. 画面の下方にある「ダウンロード」のボタンを使う。ダウンロードできるファイルは「STL ファイル」（3D プリンタ用、材料色）、「VRML ファイル」（3D プリンタ用、カラー）、「WebGL 用ファイル」（Web ブラウザでの 3D 表示用）である。

  2. 「STL ファイル」を選ぶ

  3. ZIP ファイルのダウンロードが始まる。
  4. ダウンロードされた ZIP ファイルを展開（解凍）すると dem.stl というファイルができる。

  5. Blender のような STL ファイルを扱えるアプリケーションで確認できる。
